Vivosmart 5 Battery Life

I bought a new VivoSmart 5 last week and on the whole am very happy with it.  However, the battery doesn't seem to last any more than about 2 days.

So far, I've changed the following settings, to try and improve battery life:

  • Switching off the bluetooth on the device until I'm ready to sync it to my phone;
  • Setting the Timeout to Short;
  • Setting the Gesture to Off;
  • Disabling move alert - I sit at my desk for long periods so this one is fairly redundant;
  • Disabling the relax reminder;
  • Enabling DND during sleep;
  • Disabling high and low heart rate alerts;

With all of these settings in place, I'm still struggling to get the device's battery to last much beyond 48 hours.  Is there anything else I can deactivate?

TIA

Ian

  • You can try to disable pulse oximetry if you have that enabled. Also check if you by accident is transmitting HR. Lastly try to restart the device, by turning off - wait for some 30 seconds - and then restart.

    I also got myself i VS5 a while ago, mainly for sleep tracking and resting HR. I have setting similars to yours, with pulse ox off. I manage to get some ten days from fully charged to empty. And so should you. You may have gotten a device with poor battery, but I hope my suggestions will be of help.
