problem with displayed characters

i've had this thing for a couple days and it's already being stupid. it's as though there are suddenly missing characters in the character set; note the rectangles where numbers should be in today's date, battery level, weather temp, and calories. any thoughts?

    ah. figured how to fix it but not the cause. power cycle the watch: settings/system/power off, then back on.

    Okay thank you for this because I just keep resetting my watch completely instead of just turning off and on which seems like it should have been my obvious first choice lol. 

    I haven't noticed what causes it but I do know at least for me it's only the number 1 that is missing from everything. Has happened twice now. Have had my watch for about a month and the first few weeks were fine so something happened and now it's happened twice in a few weeks. Annoying but I can live with a simple on and off I guess.
