Physical button push

How do you like the physical button on Garmin Vivosmart 5? It feels like a lil bit weird for me.
I have to push it slightly hard on mine until the click sound.
(Maybe its normal to behave like this to prevent unwanted push)

  • I like the button. I like the tactile feel of something actually occurring versus a ‘finger hold & look’ situation.

No, not super high tech, but usability is what I am after.

  • The button has a pretty hard pressure point for me.

I often don't push hard enough. Because the button can be pushed in quite a bit before you reach the actual pressure point and have to overcome it with stronger pressure and hear / feel the click.

Is this also the case with your device? Or is my button broken?

  • Yes, exactly that was my problem. But I took back to the shop and they changed the device to a new one for me and this one works well Slight smile

  • That is interesting.

The button of the replacement device can't be pushed in quite a bit before you reach the pressure point?

It often feels like you've already pressed the button. But then a lot more pressure is required to overcome the actual pressure point. I'll probably have to have my device replaced as well...

  • Yes, the replacement device button also has a little play but you dont have to push so strong like the first device. I checked the display device in the shop and that one also had a “before push” :) So summerize my second device also have a softness when you push but its night and day better than the first device.
