Vivoactive 5 doesn't sync time

My Vivoactive 5 only syncs time when I do it manually.  I have a Samsung S24 FE phone.  I have to set time to manual then set back to auto to get it to sync.  Why is my watch not automatically syncing?

    Your Garmin vívoactive 5 automatically syncs time via your paired phone or GPS, but to manually sync or force an update, press the menu button, go to System > Time > Time Sync, and wait for it to connect to your phone or satellites; if needed, you can also set the time source to Manual under Clocks > Time > Time Source.

    Maybe check that last option?
