Watch randomly powers off

In the last two months my vivoactive 4 randomly turns itself off even though there’s more than enough power. Any ideas? Love the watch but it’s so annoying

  • I am having the same problem and the watch is now barely usable.  I sometimes have to restart it many times for it to stay on.  I haven't been able to detect any pattern to it so far.

    About 20 minutes after I power on my watch.

  • Hello. My garmin Vivioactive 4 has been working absolutely fine since purchase. Over the last month or so the device has switched off by itself even though the battery is showing charging of 50% or more. Ive checked all the obvious things mentioned in forums. Switch on and off, removing things possibly using battery etc. Today I have done a complete factory reset of the device. The device is about 50% caraged and even during the setup process, the unit swiched off.several times. I have notived that the issue occurs most often during an activity or when I press the top right hand button such at the end of an activity during the save operation - when it occurs at these times is the the biggest nuisance as I lose the activity. Aslo, I often navigate using my Garmin Edge Explore at the same time as using the watch.

  • In the last two months my vivoactive 4 randomly turns itself off even though there’s more than enough power, it does not turn on again sometimes. I live in Kolkata India and unable to find any service centre. Please help as I am unable to use the watch.

  • Yes, I've been experiencing this issue for several months. I've performed factory resets and updates with no success in resolving. In-fact, I now have less functionality.
