action button issue

Hi,

Bought a vivoactive 4s last year and after a short while boxed it and it went in storage.

Just took it out to try it again and after re-setup & two software updates the watch is working fine but I find the action button is working only intermittently.  Just went for a run and it took 3 presses to get the activity list, and 10 to be able to signal an end to the workout.

The 'back' button works fine, seems like a hardware issue with that one button.

Is there a process for repairs/warranty claims?

  • Experimenting a bit more it seems more like a software issue maybe - if I hold the action button I get to the circular menu in 3s every time/consistently.  If I turn the watch off, pressing action gives the green triangle almost immediately, so operations other than a single press/activities list seem to work ok. 

    Annoying but not the end of the world.  Would be nice to know if this is a known issue/something that can be resolved.  Didn't have this problem on my venu.

    I should add, I reset all settings and the issue remains.

    I did find & try that suggestion which didn't resolve it, so I did contact product support and I am in the process of getting a replacement.  Support engineer concluded it was a hardware issue.  Thanks!
