Vivoactive 4 Serious Battery Drain after update 6.10

Battery doesn't last 4-5 days anymore. Instead is already on 48% after being taken off charge 14 hours ago. It was 100% charged 14 hours ago. Fix the firmware or roll it back. This is ridiculous!

  • Is your backlight on in settings? Test turning it off completely (not just setting it to 0%, but turning it off). See if it works again.

  • I already try it and battery is still Drain. Backlight is always off whatever setting are set on the watch. Seems to be related with timeout count down process...it never ends up and never turn off the light.

  • Do you use PulseOX per night or it's off completely and can you  tell what is your sleep hours set in the profile?

  • After turned off the watch, wait for 5 min and turn it on backlight issue has been fixed.

now let’s see if battery drain issue has been fixed .

good luck with that! I had backlight issue only once, and it was on 5.80 if I remember well. Let us know if it helps

  • Hello, I am sorry to see this is happening. I understand it is frustrating. I am working to get all of the information sent over and starting to reach out to customers with permission. With that being said, I need to know, have you completed a reset yet without success as well as made sure all CIQ apps are updated if they are being used?

  • Ok so the solution I found was to turn off the watch and then turn it back on again. I did this at full charge. Now it works fine.

  • Same situation here. As  previously said I did:

    1. Full restart of the watch
    2. full charge
    3. completely turn off, wait 5 minutes
    4. turn it on.

After that, backlight behavior works as usual and battery life has been recovered. I am getting the same autonomy as previous release: 4/5 days.

    Hope It helps.

    regards

  • I’m having the same issue. I suspect it is the pulse oximetry. After the update all my alarms were turned off for some reason so I overslept. Then today I noticed my battery must have also drained over night and watch *** down due to critical battery level at 13:00 this afternoon. Watch isn’t even 6 months old yet and issue has only appeared since this update 2 days ago. If someone could get this sorted would be greatly appreciated.

  • I found an odd set of circumstances which seem to contribute. On another forum someone said it was related to the alarms. I have 2 alarms in the morning, after the first all is normal, but after the second the backlight will stay on and doesn’t turn off again (leading to serious battery drain). Solution is to restart the watch, but it seems like something in the alarms is triggering the problem, but not with every alarm…
