Version 6.10 - Watch freezes on Activities.

I am using a VVA4

• Are you using any CIQ data fields? 
  • Yes, Race Screen on page 3 for Run
    • Pace, HR, Timer, Distance, GPS, Average Pace
• What native data fields are you using, and how many pages?
  • For Run, 3 data screens: 
    • Timer, Distance, Pace and Total Ascent
    • Heart Rate, Lap Distance, Lap Time and Lap Pace
    • Race Screen (see above)
• What is your GPS setting (off, GPS only, GPS + GLONASS, or GPS + Galileo)?
  • GPS + GLONASS
• Do you have auto scroll enabled for that activity?
  • Yes, medium setting, but it is off for walk
• What are your backlight settings?
  • Backlight set to 10%, timeout is Medium with Gesture on and Sensitivity Low

 understand this thread is for Vivoactive4 but some Venu users are posting here too. So are you using Venu (regular Venu, not Venu2), or are you all using VVA4/S? Vivoactive 4s

  • Starting workout from garmin coach data field. 
• What is your GPS setting (off, GPS only, GPS + GLONASS, or GPS + Galileo)?
  • GPS + GLONASS
• Do you have auto scroll enabled for that activity?
  • OFF
• What are your backlight settings?
  • on/30%/short/

Activity freezes about 30 seconds into the workout. Need to hold both buttons to force it to shut off. When it restarts, it automatically starts in progress workout with time reset. Workout is registered in my activity log but not in garmin coach. 

My watch froze again today 24 seconds into a walk. Had to reset again.

Hi. This has happened to me on m last two runs. Saturday and now today. Hope they can fix ASAP. foe about 30 sec in and then would not locate GPS signal even after almost 30 mins.

This has happened to me today and on saturday. Frozen 30 secs in and then reset and couldn't find GPS signal after nearly 30 mins. 

Same issue with me, frozen after 23s on a cycle with GPS, i cannot reset it, the buttons don't work

Hi, how can we unfroze it? my buttons don't work

I've just had the same problem with it freezing during activity solved it by holding start button down until the screen went blank. I don't know if it is helpful but the battery was at 23%

My vivoactive 4 has consistently frozen @ 24 sec during activity since latest update.  After a recommended reset, it worked for about 4 activities and started anew.  Only way to operate is wait for 24 sec freeze restart and it then works.  Obviously, with all of the responses to this problem, we need a new working update!

For me it happened 26 seconds in to the activity. I have no sensor paired.
