  3. Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.

  • Which is this widget name?

  • it's named Device Usage but I seriously doubt it could be find openly in CIQ, you have to install BETA firmware to have it

  • I just wanted to tell for anyone who's curious about battery life. My battery drain per day with the new firmware was just 10%(no activities for today and default watchface), on average it's between 20-30%. So I'm not sure what magic Garmin did but it looks very promising, I hope it's not just some battery estimation glitch Slight smile

  • Just did a workout from the Garmin coach and on SW 5.80 I would get 5 seconds before the next step, every second a short vibration and then when the next step starts I would get a long vibrate.

This is missing in the new SW.

  • What widget is this?

ah, I think you're right, I think that right now there is just single vibration, I was running yesterday and thought that something is different but then discarded that thought, I'll pay more attention tomorrow.

    What widget is this?

this widget is built-in inside BETA firmware, so you'd see it if install it on your watch.

  • Hi sensovision

Just wondering if the 10% per drain has continued since this post ? I'm reluctant to try Beta software but hoping when it is finally released overall battery drain improves Fingers crossed

  • bad news:

First it looked way better with the new firmware. At around 20%/day. But the last two days it does not look so good any longer.

Here are the records from two days:

    23.6.21

    Time

    Battery

    09:00 77%
    11:00 75%
    12:00 74%
    13:00 72%
    14:00 70%
    15:00 69%
    16:00 -
    17:00 66%
    18:00 65%
    19:00 64%

    -> 31,2 %/day

    24.6.21

    Time Battery
    14:00 45%
    15:00 -
    16:00 41%
    17:00 40%
    18:00 38%
    19:00 36%

    -> 43,2 %/day

In both timespans there were no activities started, just weared the watch during work.

  • Great !! That's far worse than mine is now... Is that with stock face ?

  • No, its with an CIQ-Face - in the past it did not make a difference if a CIQ or stock face had been installed. But during the next cycles i'll give it a try with another face.

What makes me wonder is that the drain changes so much, even when there is no setting changed on the watch. Sometimes 20%/day and a few days later 43%/day.
