Beta 5.46 appears to have fixed the CIQ battery issue

I have stayed at 5.00 and went to 5.46 yesterday. After my first night with it using the same CIQ face I have used for months my battery loss was about the same as 5.00.

  • I am on android! I'll do that right now with both apps.

  • Dunno if anyone cares but all these steps plus disabling MoveIQ slightly helped and now I'm at 1.381% an hour. It's still really high compared to everyone else but there's not much else to delete, I even went to garmin connect and deleted apps (like SUP) I don't use, even though I imagine they don't affect battery life. I also disabled notification/calendar/etc access to see if that would help too.

  • plus disabling MoveIQ

Hmm... Maybe I missed this in the thread. Disabling MoveIQ helps battery life? Would disabling Move Alert also help?

  • It's just something that came up while I was googling, I don't really know for sure, I'm trying everything at this point. There is basically nothing left on this watch and it's still draining way more than it should be.

  • Well I just disabled mine so will see Slight smile. Given that it is mid day I won't really know for sure until the morning after tomorrow since I do a full charge at about the same time every morning.

  • Tell me how it goes! I'll be sure to update everyone if I ever find anything that works, but I do think my watch is just broken, at this point. :(

  • Well... disabling MoveIQ does not seem to have changed battery loss. It is still about the same.

  • In that case, I'm going to turn mine back on. I've basically given up.

Tonight, randomly, with the *most* things turned off, my battery drain went back up to 1.48+. I don't know what's messed up, but I should have the 8 days of battery life with this much stuff off so it has to be the watch.

  • When I first installed 5.0 I called support to report the battery loss. After they had me do a hard reset with no success they offered to replace my watch.  Have you tried calling in?

  • I was actually about to attempt the support chat. I assume they aren't open on the weekend for calls?
