What is taking so long with the next update?

Hello , what is taking so long with the next update, please? When you posted ''a new update is coming soon'', i was expecting a few days, not weeks. My watch is still stuck at 5.10 with miserable GPS fixing and several other bugs that have been mentioned many times here in the forums. What is the status with the next update? I am planning to buy another watch if the problems aren't fixed soon, so I would like to know before Christmas if the waiting is worth it or not. Garmin's approach is really very dissapointing...

  • But it seems like most VA4/VA4S owners are not affected by the software issues. I am pretty sure they would be in more of a hurry if it was everybody.

  • Fénix and Marq are rather "elite" category watches, it is absolutely correct to call the pricetag of VA4 a"flagship" price. Here in the Czech Republic VA4 costs the same as a year old Apple Watch, which is quite a lot I think. And it is a very high price for such a messed up device.

  • I think that all VA4 devices are messed up, because things like bad sleep tracking and other bugs are in every device. But this is the problem like with many other things. Most people on this planet are extremely passive and think that everything will be somehow solved for them, so they rather don't raise their voices and wait what will happen.

  • There are watches with better sleep tracking, but it seems to work very well for me and my sleep patterns. I don't have battery life issues either. I guess there are many customers like me, but most happy owners don't go these forums.

  • They pulled/stopped the 5.30 rollout so it’s evident that Garmin is well aware of the new issues they presented to us.

  • I think Garmin attitudes are changing somehow.

In early days, they would release an update, and maybe after many many complains, they would release a new (maybe) corrected one. Some of you can remember the disconnecting bug from VA3.

Now, it seems to me that they are more, let's say, proactive: there are some Garmin guys like this Amber-D that, at least, say some words sometimes. Maybe he is now allowed to talk everything, it can be a company decision.

So, I think they are watching this forum, but I agree with you, nothing happens in the speed we would like they have!
