GPS version 4.60 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile (pending rollout).

Change Log:

Fix a bug causing long fix times in certain conditions.

another great drop by garmin (/s). Prior to this I could get a GPS lock in a few seconds. Now it takes 5+ minutes each time. I tried a GPS soak where you let it sit idle for 20 minutes after acquiring…

My VA4S-watch has no issues with GPS fix times after upgrading to 4.60.

This version of GPS software completely destroy time to get a gps lock, but most importantly destroy GPS and GPS+GLONASS accuracy.

Today I did a sync with garmin express just before getting out to run, but i forgot my phone home.

Result: not gps lock after 30 min of easy run, it is like garmin express deleted CPE file. Unfortunate i did not check the status before starting the activity now I can see it but creation date is after the run. So it either downloaded while running from GPS signal or it was created when it connected to my phone.

I used Express for the first time before today's jog and the CPE file was updated. I then got the GPS fix pretty much immediately (around 7 seconds) when I started the activity. Thank you once again ovekvam and Martin!

I normally jog without the phone. CPE is still current after couple of hours.

Cool, glad it worked. The CPE file should be good for at least 7 days if not more
