Blacked out Vivo Active 4S

Hi there,

Anyone experienced issues with their 4S like me?

I was using it today and suddenly i realized that my watch was not working (it was at 70% this morning when i left the house), showing nothing on the screen like it was turned off.

I came home and tried to charge it, but mid way i realized that the watch was overheating (it was hot to touch), and it still cannot turn on.

Would appreciate any help. I just bought the watch 1 and a half months ago.

  • I am facing a similar issue, my watch froze and heating up on charging. Can't switch it on.

  • Recently i've been in the pool. Wasn't even swimming so didn't turned on any activity on my vivoactive. After some minutes i wanted to check what time is. And found out it was blacked out too. Unfortunately few months ago the warranty expired. I contacted Garmin support but i suppose they will not help me with this problem. I am so disappointed. Yet this watch is intended for water activities. I don't know what to think about it...

  • All,

  • Same issue. Bit of a swim with half charged watch. Ok, warm day but definetely below 60 degrees Celsius. Screen blacked out. No connection with app, no charging, nothing. All reset options tried, nothing, nada. In NL no option in mentioned link. Sent an email to servicedesk.....

  • Same thing is happening to me! I went for a quick swim in the lake - not deep, just a light tread of water and then about 10 minutes after I looked down and all of a sudden it was black screen.  Charged it all night and put it on this morning, time was still displaying last night’s time, day was today but steps were yesterdays.  I synced it with my app hoping that would help and then all of a sudden I felt my arm burning - the watch was super hot! And black again! Plugged it in for a charge and it said battery was dead - so weird.  Were you able to resolve with Garmin?

  • Hi, bummer! Garmin suggested to sent the watch to be replaced by refurbished for135 euro.... I didn't. Lost faith in that watch. Imean, they have refurbished.... means many more had issues...
