Is sleep tracking horrible for everyone?

I’m new to Garmin. I’ve had Fitbit, Samsung and Apple watches and their sleep tracking was great compared to my new vivoactive 4s. 
All my previous watches had no issues with naps or broken sleep periods. 

I currently have a 4 week old baby so most of my sleep is in chunks throughout the night. It sometimes registers it all and sometimes only like 3 hours of it. 

Is the tracking always going to be this horrible? Pretty disappointed about this!
