GPS accuracy really poor (example map included)

Speaking for myself, GPS accuracy has remained good and stable over the last updates. This is in the Netherlands. Previously I was using GPS + Glonass (see post above), now just GPS by itself.

I took the same road twice, different sides of the road. Accuracy seems spot on.

Are you guys in areas with overhead? Poor sky visibility of the device?

Are you comparing cycling performance with walking and running again? Many people including myself have already said cycling isn't an issue. It's walking and running that suffers jitter and drift. Switching from smart to 1Hz seems to be either the same or detrimental.

In terms of track recording performance it's the worst GPS device I've owned in the past 15 years by wide and jittery margin.

A walk, same accuracy as biking it seems. Using standard smart logging mode, with just GPS (no GALILEO / GLONASS)

Yes, I export the route as a .kml and plot it on Google Earth.

For sure the jitter is higher when walking, but it seems just to be because the data points are closer together. GPS signal between buildings and city trees probably also isn't quite as good as the previous track, which was in an open field.

I'll track another log walking in some fields next week.

interesting to see that you get such accurate GPS data from your VA4. Ive tested walking in cities and outdoor. With all possible GPS combinations. No difference in accuracy. Its jittery and off All the time. 

Interesting fact: ive recorded a car route as a running activity and the accuracy was good. Also 1sec setting.
