How do I choose specific songs or albums on Spotify? It seems like an only play playlists

I just recently bought the watch specifically for music. But it appears with Spotify I can only upload playlists. If I want to listen to a specific song I am out of luck unless it randomly pops up on the playlist. There's no way to scroll through the songs, choose an artist or album. Am I missing something? This is crazy to me. If this is the case it's going back. Are all of the watches like this? I don't think it's too much to ask to play the song you want to hear.

    Running into this same problem, how did the devs not notice this? Being able to select a specific song is a basic requirement of a music player.

    haha you're only like 3 years late. Sold the watch, the features for the price just aren't there

    I am so sorry no one was on the forums to get this addressed, I should have been more clear that I was responding to the above user. Again, I am sorry that happened and it resulted in you having to sell the device.

    This is definitely a basic feature that should be there. Garmin, can you please make this happen?

    This is absolutely dumb to not have option to select particular song in Spotify garmin app. Users are not checking threads like this, however on IQ store page Spotify app has Thumbsdown reviews. There is no point of having spotify music app with such a basic feature. Big no no for music option in Garmin watch.

    In Spotify you can add a whole album to a playlist with the name of that album in one go. In an album, tap the thee dots -> add to -> new playlist. Of course not ideal, and I would like Garmin and Spotify to include downloading albums on the watch directly, but this still does the job without to much effort.

    It can be very frustrating when you want to listen to one song lost somewhere in your playlist. As a workaround, you can use Spotify's search feature to find the specific song or album you want to listen to. You can search by artist, album, or song title, and that should bring up all the relevant results. You can even try to promote your own music, thanks to https://songlifty.com/, and become famous. Don't give up your watch - there are always ways to overcome limitations and make the technology work for you.

    This is basic functionality, which should be by default! It's like when you buy car - you expect to have steering wheel, right? you don't ask manufacture to include that on next model... it's already 2023, functionality didn't change for years - no progress or development on this, seems like left forgotten
