Just updated to SW 3.80 recently. Now I notice that my Vivoactive 4 is leaking battery like crazy, like 30% per day without doing any activity compare to 10-15% per day previously.
Anyone experiencing this issue with SW 3.80?
Yes, I have noticed an increase in battery drain rate with 3.80. The 3.80 "upgrade" happened Saturday around 5PM. I have not changed anything else. Watch face is Quattro. Pulse Ox is only on…
The same. I noted that my battery is draining a lot faster than normal. It went from 100% battery to 47% within 24 hours. I didn't do any activity. whereas before the update I was able to go 3-4 days with…
Now, without "drain battery bug", without pulseOX, with HR monitoring, without bluetooth connection to smartphone, i'm using about 10 to 12% battery / day.
So, I can stay 8 days on battery.
With +/- 2 hours of outdoor activity / week, I can keep may watch up 7 days.
Try :
- update and charge batteries to 100%
- reeboot
- connect GPS (record activity outdoor 5 min)
If you still have battery problems --> request an exchange from the after-sales service
I use to have issues with Battery. It seems to have worked after the following. Installed 3.8 update. Restarted devise. Charged to 100% and let charge for 1 hour more after it hit 100%. Got new bluetooth update and restarted device. Got new Sensor update and restarted device. Now currently watch set to monitor HR, bluetooth on, brightness 10%, auto awake off, pulse OX off. I am at 3 days since last charge and battery currently reading 65%. I have not done activity tracking or had GPS on. Battery app says I am losing .330%/hr.
Mine downloaded yesterday morning from the garmin app. my sensor version is 3.2 and blutooth version is 4.3. if you have those then you are updated. Otherwise try searching for the update through garmin express desktop app or your garmin app on the phone.
once you get it i might even try resetting the phone then charge to 100% and let charge for another hour after it hit 100% This seemed to have re calibrated my battery and fixed my issues. At one point my garmin was losing charge at a rate of 5-6% every hour.
Which "battery app" do you use that reports discharge rate per hour?
