This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile.

My hr stops blinking when Watch is removed from wrist, and does restart when back on wrist

ditto. HR constant blinking issue appears to be fixed for me after 3.80 update.

"Always blinking" issue is not fixed. It will turn sensor off if no any kind of workout is done since the last boot. If at least one workout is started, saved or discarded, watch will start blinking like crazy when is taken of the hand.

Doesn't need an activity to be started. Mine is doing that with just normal use.

What is the "sleep issue"?

When you're not wearing the watch during the night it somehow records it as a sleep data and put it in your profile. Which is annoying cause you can't delete that data. This started to happen few days before the update and it looks like most garmin devices are affected by this issue.

So to summarize:

- after EACH recorded activity we HAVE to reboot the watch to avoid battery drain and constant HR sensor blinking,

- if we do not want to record sleep data and take off the watch for the night - we should turn it off in order to avoid "blank sleep" being recorded, which afterwards we cannot delete.

Now this is a real high end device! Congratulations Garmin...

3.8 is adversely affecting battery drain. Please see this thread: forums.garmin.com/.../va4-battery-drain-after-sw-3-80
