Activate Garmin Pay on vivoactive 4

Hello, everybody,

does anyone know a solution like Garmin Pay can be activated on the vivoactive 4?

On my vivoactive 3 Garmin Pay runs without problems and can be added without problems.

On the vivoactive 4 the " Add card " says that the vivoactive 4 is not connected.
But it is connected and also synchronizes with Garmin Connect.

Couldn't add it under iOS 13.2 or on an Android smartphone with Android 9.

Does anyone know a solution?

  • Is it possible you're connected to a different device than you think you are?

    I also had Garmin Pay problems in Android and ended up uninstalling and then reinstalling GCM to fix it. In the interim, I was connected to an iPad. When I tried to set up a credit card in Garmin Pay the Android app said I wasn't connected. I turned off Bluetooth on the iPad, the error message in Android went away, and I was able to enter my credit card information.

  • I had some initial trouble with mine but was able to get it working. My challenge was getting the activation code from Chase. Once I had that and entered it I have been able to use the watch ok just about everywhere EXCEPT Chase ATM's, go figure! Using iPhone X with 13.1.2.

  • I had the same issue. Talked to support, sent file data to them. Said they are going to investigate the issue. Now I see with this thread, that the issue is 3 months old and it’s still not fixed, as it’s with other bugs. Returned my watched after 3 days of use back to the shop. Lost 50 euros because of that. Thanks Garmin!

    I've also experienced the same issues. IOS 13.3, Garmin Connect 4.26. Watch is paired, connected, sync is working, but I cannot add card because garmin app tells that device is not connected.

I've tried reinstalling Garmin Connect, restarting devices, re-pairing bluetooth - nothing helped.

  • Did you check under Settings/Telephone, that the status is "on"?
