How do screen protectors fit the Vivoactive 4 ? Is the screen completely flat ?

Hello everyone,

Did anyone manage to fit a decent-looking screen protector on their Vivoactive 4 smartwatch ? It looks to me that the screen is slightly curved so I can't see how a screen protector would fit properly, especially a tempered glass one. And based on my experience and type of usage, a screen protector is a must for me, otherwise I may have to splash out for a way more expensive Fenix 6 with no touchscreen but sapphire screen.

Thanks !

  • In the end I did purchase the Vivoactive 4 and I found some screen protectors called "Brotect" on Amazon Germany. It is a flexible screen protector which fits perfectly, I recommend it, but it is difficult to fit perfectly right like with all flexible ones (I did manage to ruin one of the two I have received), so if you get them, make sure you get enough of them :)

bump - has anyone found a good screen protector for the VA4?  I kinda wish Garmin offered a sapphire edition so I didn't have to worry about the screen scratching as I tend to pump my watch into things.

  • Yes, the ones from iqshield. I bought them because someone here used them. They fit perfectly. They are not glass so curve perfecly, you cant see it. You don't feel it during swipe but if you use your nails you feel it is not glass.

I'm happy with them. The edges you see on the picture (if you see them at all) are not that obvious in real life. The dust particles are also not under the protector.

  • Sorry to cut in, what is this watch face if I may ask?

thanks for the reply.  how is it holding up since you put it on?  is it easy to tell that there's another layer on top?  in my past experience with soft screen protector on phones, the edge always pickup lint/dirt and i'm wondering if you're seeing this.

  • Can't tell yet. It has only been on there for 8 days. No signs of lifting. The va4 screen doesn't bend that much.

Just take a normal cheap shield from a phone, than lay it on the screen of your phone and mark the size. Than take a scissors an cut it to the right size and than finally put your handy shield on your Garmin device. Its cool, its cheap and easy to do.

  • For Vivoactive 4, I bought protective glass from Brotect and is absolutely great. I can recommend to all.

I ordered these also. Four peaces. First one ruined and second one has some particles from backpaper. But really fits into VA4.
