How do screen protectors fit the Vivoactive 4 ? Is the screen completely flat ?

Hello everyone,

Did anyone manage to fit a decent-looking screen protector on their Vivoactive 4 smartwatch ? It looks to me that the screen is slightly curved so I can't see how a screen protector would fit properly, especially a tempered glass one. And based on my experience and type of usage, a screen protector is a must for me, otherwise I may have to splash out for a way more expensive Fenix 6 with no touchscreen but sapphire screen.

Thanks !

I just brought some from amazon (I'm in the UK) and they don't fit at all. I messaged the seller who has been made aware of the issue and is replacing mine with a 'soft' screen protector that will follow the curve of the watch. I'm not sure how soft soft will be!

  • The screen is not flat. I bought a glass protector on Amazon, but it's not good. I solved the problem with Clear-Coat by mobile outfitters.

  • My wife has a 4S. As noted, a glass screen protector may not work due to the curvature of the glass. I used a soft plastic screen protector on it instead.

  • I ordered the soft ones off amazon.  They are all made the same in my book.  The secrete is to heat up the edges one by on with a hair drier.  Once warmed up, press and hold it down, working around the edge.  I put them on apple watches all the time.  If you don’t use the hair drier it won’t stick/seal.  When I get mine tomorrow I’ll put it on, if all that works, I will update with the brand I purchased.  I hope any of that helps.

  • I received my IQShield screen protectors today.  They were $8 off amazon for 6.  It went on really easy. The screen is flatter than I thought, so their is no problem putting them on.  They aren’t glass, more like thick 3m clear film.  I think they will do fine against scratches.  If you slam the watch the screen would crack.  But if your like me and hit the watch off weights, door frames, and routine stuff it’ll be fine.  I hope that helps.

  • Does the platic protector degrades the screen? Can you feel it sticking more to your fingers during swipes?

  • I can’t tell the difference with it being on.  I highly doubt it does anything to the glass as far as degrading.

  • Will the IQShield from vivoactive 3 fit on the 4? I still have some screen protectors left from my 3, but haven’t received my 4 yet....want to have them when it gets here

  • Negative the vivo 3 has a different size screen.  It’s bigger than the 4s smaller than the 4.  If you’re hard up and bought the 4, it would cover 90% of it until you got the right one though.

  • Great! Thanks for the info!!
