Satellite and GPS issues

Hi,

For months now my vivoactive 3 has not been able to aquire GPS. I have updated it, reset my watch, uninstalles and reinstalled the garmin app with no success. And now my watch will not connect to my phone and permanently searching for satellites.

The first 6 month of having the watch it was never an issue. Why has it just decided to not work?

Help!?

Hi,

Hello! Can you let me know what GPS software version you are on? (Menu > Settings > System > About > SW versions > GPS version) Also, have you tried changing the GPS setting? (Open Activity profile > Run > Settings > GPS + GLONASS)

Okay, can I have you sync your watch with Garmin Connect then attach your watch to your computer. Open the Garmin Drive and Garmin Folder and right click and delete the Activity, NewFiles, and RemoteSW folders. Once you have done this, empty the recycle bin and safely eject your Garmin. From here please resync with Garmin Connect and test a GPS location. Please let me know if the watch is still not acquiring a GPS signal.

Hello! Have you tried all the troubleshooting listed above? Changing GPS settings and deleting the RemoteSW folder? If so, can you let me know what GPS software version you are on?

Yes I have tried that. I'm on GPS version 2.5

Okay, can we try a factory reset on the device (Menu>Settings>System>Restore Defaults), change GPS settings again, then perform a GPS soak (let the watch sit outside with a clear view of the sky for up to 20 minutes), and let's see if it acquires a signal. If not, please let me know. Also, are you in the US or Canada?

Sorry for the delay. I tried this and it still has not worked.

I'm in neither, I'm in the UK.
