Venu update 7.10 full of bugs. How to permanently revert to older firmware?

I have so many problems with my Venu watch and the watch of my wife

- Sleep was not recorded tonight, and other recording / data issues.

- Connection and Sync over Garmin Express full of bugs. Adding the device on another PC made it even worse.

- The Venu watch of my wife lost all apps and settings after update to 7.10

- Watch face crashing, have to reboot once per day. Even with an official Garmin watch face.

- Watch face app vanishing and being replaced with stock watch face. Reinstall only possible over PC, not over Mobile App.

How can I revert permanently to an older firmware? I had zero issues with the old firmware and the new one did not introduce any new features for me, only bugs.

I am having the same problems - watch face changed, no sleep or stress recording. Cannot connect to Garmin Express since "update". Ugh.

You need the GUPDATE_690.GCD file for downgrade. But I don't know where to download it.

You need the GUPDATE_690.GCD file for downgrade. But I don't know where to download it.

You can find the old version in the Beta 7.01 package: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=15289

Please note, the downgrade will cause a factory reset of the watch. I'd probably rather wait a few days in the hope that they will quickly release a fixed version.

The downgrade is possible, but because you are not allowed to disable automatic firmware update on Vivo/Venu models, the older firmware will be replaced again by the new one soon.

Garmin is aware of an issue impacting vivoactive 4, 4S, and Venu watches. We have identified the issue and have released an update as a Public Beta. To update your watch walk through the following:

Power your watch off and back on.
Enroll in the Public Beta in Garmin Connect.
1. Use FAQ: https://support.garmin.com/?faq=bVo5U5BV292BSr2gkZhY2A for instructions.
Sync with Garmin Express.
1. See FAQ https://support.garmin.com/?faq=IB1TjAKZso2F6mKr3hYqy9f or instructions to download and install Garmin Express

After you enroll and sync your watch, BETA software version 7.20 will be installed and you should no longer experience the issue of your watch no longer syncing, Connect IQ watch faces no longer displaying, or activities no longer saving.

We expect this software version to go to production in the next couple of days.
