Hello All -
I apologize for this disruption. If you are experiencing this, please contact Garmin Support in your region. It is possible that your device will need to be exchanged, and exchanges cannot…
I did mine via Garmin Express - but at least there is no difference getting via that or via the phone.
It is a file transfer and execution on the watch after.
For me no boot loop.
Still not worling on 12.74
And still no communication from engineers
Any idea on progress
I do not see that you have contacted support regarding the boot loop. I am aware that you had another issue on the device as well and that would have been fixed via a software update, this however now necessitates an exchange and support needs to handle that.
This is the same issue i originally reported 3 times to garmin support and you yourself said they were working on and that it didnt warrant an exchange.
Ive had no contact at anytime from support or the engineers, even though this was promised, to say this isnt fixable. They've had all the logs from my watch and i was refused an exchange by support and confirmed by yourself in a message above in the thread.
This is massively bad customer support, ive had a completely unusable 680 pound paperweight and been completely fobbed off at all contact with this issue.
Ive had garmin watches for nearly 20 years and the support has never been this bad before, what is going on.
My understanding is that originally the crash only happened if you repeatedly scroll up and down fairly quickly on the widget list and now that it has progressed to not booting past the triangle. If that is the case, My recommendation is that you contact support for an exchange. If I have misunderstood, please clarify
The issue was and still is that it would randomly reboot, sometimes on its on own sometimes with interaction, all only after 12.70 update. At my first contact with garmin i uploaded the logs and data from the watch and was told repeatedly that i would not receive an exchange and I would be contacted by the engineers as it was fixable. In fact they said they wouldnt replace as it would just happen on any venu x1. This contact still hasn't happened, so now you are saying it should be an exchange. Have you spoken to the engineers that were meant to contact me then? And why wasnt I offered an exchange originally if it was an obvious fault as it would've saved me several weeks of waiting.
Again pretty shoddy customer service for a very expensive watch
Had the same issue with update 12.74. After trying to resolve the problem (with support of Garmin-Tracy) I contacted regional support to get it replaced. Was on a chat with the support team and after a few minutes they send me the replacement form. Will get the new watch in a few days....
I’ve got the same problem and same run around from Garmin who clearly know there’s an issue.
I’ve had the reboot problem since it came out of the box. Garmin have all the logs but I’ve heard nothing since I sent everything. Sounds like it’s a problem with the device that a new one might not fix
Well, I hope the replacement will arrive soon, guess them I'll find out. It's still mildly annoying to buy a watch and have to spend weeks on troubleshooting, support contact and waiting for replacement. But apparently this is the price one has to pay as an early adopter.
