Should I disable firmware auto-update and Android/iOS apps auto-update for Venu SQ 2 Music and check forum first on new updates and how they perform?

This question is related to two hot topics where Venu SQ 2 Music was broken for a month not able to install or update watch apps.

First of all HUGE THANKS to Garmin Customer Support, and to Garmin Engineers for addressing the issue. I know many may complain about long time it took (me too), but at the end, I'm very grateful for effort and the fix. Looks like it was backend problem, and as an backend engineer I understand why some backend problems can't be easily fixed in a day - backend world is so complicated on modern technologies. Again, thank you Garmin, for the effort on the fix and for reporting back on issue origins and sharing some context.

Remain question now is - does it make sense to disable auto-updates of software/firmware, and wait for some time after releases until allowing it to go. Again, the install issue was in backend infrastructure, but many owners reported that older Venu SQ 2 firmware were still working for that broken backend, until they upgraded to 2.64

I think if there is a chance backend can be broken with newer update in future, I don't want to wait for a month until issue is escalated and fixed, I'd prefer to stay with older perfectly working firmware.
