Since my watch has the 16.28 update, my swim activities have been totally incorrect.
eg. Distance, time, calories, pool length, pace.
When will the next update be to correct these issues?

I just spoke to Garmin Support and they are “investigating”. Rep I spoke with said it's probably not a big issue "since there aren't 20,000 people complaining about it" and that I should take people on…
That would be great. I'm pretty disappointed. Had the watch replaced, after real hassle. New watch did the software update to latest version and my swim today was all over the place. Not ideal for a £400…
I spoke to the garmin support and they will investigate the problem. I'll let you know when I have more informations.
Please post what happenes after the new update as I am considering returning mine. Swam with both Venu4 and old Venu2 today simultaneously and Venu 4 clocked 50 yards and old Venu 2 clocked correctly 1800. Garmin contacted me with a 2nd request to view my data on Saturday (4 days ago) and has never again contacted me.
Garmin has been viewing my data for a while and I’ve had no further contact with them. They’ve provided no updates either. The watch works great otherwise and I’d prefer not to return it but the complete lack of customer service is very troubling to me.
I asked that question, "are you going to take these back or what recourse do we have" and I was told Customer Service "had no information" on that....
I re-try it yesterday and it did the same thing for me when I start the training. I really don't understand.
Had contect with Garmin today- they say they are working on a patch/fix for the software update 16.28 but no info given as to when they will roll it out-
They told me the same thing.
I am having same, no distance recorded on pool swim and 1000's of calories burned for a 1.5k swim. If only!! Garmin have requested a zip file of all my data which was a hassle to send, but they have said they are looking into it. No timeframe for any fix. Very frustrating as this was my main want from this watch....
This makes my blood boil. I have triathlon training coming up and bought the Venu 4 specifically because it is supposed to be good for this kinda thing. I switched over from Apple Watch that has never failed to track my swims immaculately for the past 6 years of use. If this matter doesn’t resolve I’ll be going back to AW and never looking back.
No word back here, either. Swimmers are clearly not Garmin's concern. Don’t get how you can sell a product having a capability, break your own product's capabilities & then ignore your customers who are telling you you broke it....
Garmin is processing return authorizations for this issue so you might want to request one and use it if you need to but at least you have it.
