My Venu 4 has frozen mid run

I was doing a race and my watch has frozen. I had to reset it and lost 5min of the run and gps… why did it happen? should it be repaired or was it a bug?

    I haven't been running with my Venu 4 yet, but I didn't understand why the problem should be with your model when several people are experiencing the same basic issue.
    Just like other problems, too.

    He is trying to figure it out himself cause he has no choice. Problem is that Garmin is silent on it. No customer updates about this issue at all.

    Nejhorší hodinky Garmin, které jsem kdy měla. Nechápu, jak můžou dát na trh nefunkční hodinky, takový nefunkční polotovar.. Měla jsem týden Venu 4, od počátku se při běhu sekaly- zamrzal displej, špatně měřily tep, ubývaly kroky Po týdnu jsem je dala na reklamaci a v obchodě mi ihned dali nové. Současné hodinky se při běhu nesekají, ale měří nesmysly, když se podívám do souboru TCX, tak vynechává kadence- je tam hodně nulových řádků . Kroky se nepřipisují správně, např. dnes při aktivitě běhu 6 km jen 500 kroků. Když jsem porovnala soubory TCX s předchozími hodinkami Vivoactive 4, tak tam nulové hodnotyu kadence žádné nebyly. Nechci už měnit za další kus, protože to bude asi podobné.

    I don't understand the after-sales support when the watch has problems with such essential functions right from the start.

    I had the same problem, Garmin suggested to delete all music. I installed the music again and will test it later on.

    Hodinky zatím fungují správně, pravděpodobně to dělal starý firmware  na airpods. Po stáhnutí aktuálního firmware do sluchátek zatím chyby nedělají.

    Since there seem to be several threads on the same topic:

    Unfortunately, this also happened to me yesterday during a cardio session.

    First, the heart rate display was at its maximum, which did not correspond to reality, then the touchscreen froze, and finally it turned off.

    After turning it back on, I was able to continue my activity.

    I didn't hear any music.

    No GPS.

    OS: 14.12.

    The HRM200 chest strap was connected.
