The Venu 4 seems to auto dim in low light unlike the Venu 3

I can also observe the behavior of the Venu 4 that you described and find it disadvantageous.
It would be nice if one could generally turn off the dimming and only enable it when needed, depending on the display design.

It bothers me that in dark rooms I do not immediately have the bright display to read the time better.
With my Venu 3, this dimming behavior does not occur, and that is a good thing.

I hope that in one of the next firmware updates, this dimming behavior can be turned off. Thank you.

Auch ich kann das von dir beschriebene Verhalten der Venu 4 feststellen und finde es nachteilig.
Es wäre schön wenn man das Dimmen generell abschalten könnte und nur bei Bedarf, je nach Displaydesign, einschalten könnte.

Mich stört es das ich in dunklen Räumen nicht auf Anhieb das helle Display habe um die Uhrzeit besser ablesen zu können. 
Bei meiner Venu 3 ist dieses Dimm Verhalten nicht gegeben, und das ist auch gut so.

Hiermit hoffe ich in einer der nächsten Firmware Update's das dass Dimmverhalten abstellbar ist, Danke

Another user experience here - I have venu 4 and I also have this problem. In dark room or outdoors at night it takes 20 seconds for light to be bright enough for me to be able to read. 

Hello Paskaseva,The issue with automatic brightness adjustment has already been criticized by other users, as well as by me.It also bothers me that the display stays dark for longer and that I cannot adjust it myself to turn it off or change it.I hope that Garmin will fix this in one of the next firmware updates and give us, the users, the possibility to adjust it!

Das Problem mit der automatischen Helligkeitsanpassung haben auch schon Andere User, wie auch ich, bemängelt.

Mich stört es selbst auch das das Display länger dunkel bleibt und ich es nicht selbst einstellen kann das dass abgestellt bzw geändert werden kann.

Ich hoffe doch das Garmin das in einer der nächsten Firmware Updates behebt und uns, den Usern, die Mögllichkeit das anzupassen.!?

Usually I run during the night time, now it's even dark at 5 pm. so I will be running in the dark until March. This is very disturbing as I have to stop my run and wait 20s to be able to read the stats. This watch has like 40 activities what's the point dimming in dark when you have to be able to read info. This needs to be addressed and changed as user has to be able to have control over adjusting according to its own preferences. I paid 550 euro for this watch. 

I also made comment on every YouTube video unboxing, comparing or review of Venu 4 for others to take a better look it to acknowledge this. Until Garmin solves this I will post and comment on every new YouTube review. As an athlete I need to be able to see stats on my watch bright and clear while in motion and in the dark. Too expensive not to have control over adaptive brightness.
