Venu 3 golf app not recording shots

After using the golf app for this watch for more than a year I am giving up. It is unreliable and causes frustration on the golf course. It auto records a few shots, but it misses most.

Exactly, I'm not sending them a video because Garmin can't grasp that dozens of people with the exact same issue might be a software issue on their end. Just send the fix or revert it to a previous version…

Had a Venu and Venu 2 plus for many years and never missed a shot. With the Venu 3 I missed most shots. Very disappointed with the Venu 3 overall. Garmin is cramming in more and more features that nobody cares about but sacrifices reliability of the core features

I played yesterday. It recorded zero shots. When I'd get to the green, it had hyphens for the current number of shots. I'd like the software to be rolled back to 6 months ago or even older.

Played for weeks without tracking any shot. Last wednesday I played 9 holes, the watch tracked every shot. I was flabbergasted.

Sunday I played 18 holes. Same watch, same course, same player, everything was the same. The watch tracked zero shots!

I don't understand what is wrong.

Can we please please pretty please roll back the software version? Nothing relevant changed for the better, only for the worse.

Alternatively, how can I roll back my sw version? Because this is the main use of my watch, and it 's really frustrating to have Garmin accidentally break something that worked fine for ages, and not say anything about it. It's been months.

I restarted the watch before each of my last 3 rounds and the shots recorded accurately. Guess we'll just have to live with this cumbersome workaround.

Me too. Restart the watch, redownload the course, before every round. Then it works as intended. Today, my watch was down to 20% and after I turned it off and back on, it was at 10% then died after 13 holes. It’s unfortunate that this watch worked perfectly for months and now I have to remember to charge it and restart it before every round.

Has anyone following this thread installed Beta 15.00 ? If so, did it solve this broken auto-recording issue?

Per the release notes, Beta 15.00 is supposed to fix the annoying course download issue (one forum member said that it did). However Beta 15.00 breaks the ECG app, and there's no simple way to revert to 14.15

I am having the same issue. It started about 4 weeks ago and nothing has changed with regards to how I wear the watch etc
