Same here. Have been using Garmin for golf for many years. But this has been going on for 7 months with no fix. I'm about to break down and get an Apple watch. Check out the golf apps on Apple.
I just played 18 holes yesterday. It tracked okay for the first 13 holes, then it totally stopped. This was never the behavior before. I wish they could figure out what broke this. At least roll back to an update that was current in 2024.
Update: Yesterday I played a course for the first time. I had to download and connect with the app on phone. After that I started the round with scoring. Watch didn´t record shots on first hole. After first hole I switched off the watch and started again. After that it worked! This is second time it worked after switching off an on. So presumably there is an software-problem at controller of the sensor?
Played another 18 yesterday. This time I did not have "Club Prompt" enabled and I didn't keep score. I didn't see shot distance once. I've never previously had to have "Club Prompt" enabled to see shot distance.
My Garmin Venu 3 has been working perfectly recording each long golf shot but has suddenly stopped recording. When looking in the app after the round it might show only the tee shot or does not record any shots at all for several holes. The same goes for my partners Venu 3, it has been working well but now suddenly stopped. Something has changed in the program. I have not changed anything.
btw: does it make any sense if venu3-users show here how frustrated they are? Is anybody from garmin recognizing what´s going on??? @Garmin: PLEASE SET OUR WATCHES ON PREVIOUS SOFTWARE VERSION UNLESS YOU DIDN`T SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!
Garmin-Tracy it's been several weeks since the issue was reported. And the number of affected users has grown. Has Garmin been able to reproduce the issue? An update on your efforts would be greatly appreciated
I am also having the same issue, not recording shots, no club prompt, not showing distance of last shot. Started about 2-3 weeks ago, still happening as of playing last night.
I am having the same issue. started about 3 weeks ago and as of last night is still not working correctly. wont detect shot, club prompt, or distance hit. Worked on my SQ for years, and on my Venu 3 for months, and all of a sudden stopped working correctly and consistently.
Very frustrating
UPDATE: Last 3 rounds my venu 3 didn´t record shots unless I switched it off. and started it again. only with this procedure it worked.
