Hi,
I know there has been literally the same topic discussed about a year ago and there is a claim from someone from Garmin that this is working as expected and this will be documented, but the topic is locked and the comment does not provide a link to the documentation so I cannot figure out what is the problem.
I have a Venu3 watch and Shokz OpenRun Pro2 headphones.
The Shokz support MultiPoint pairing so I have them paired to my iPhone 15Pro and the Venu3 at the same time. Both the phone and the Venu say that my headphones are connected.
I play music through my phone because the sound quality is much better than if playing from the Venu3.
However, all Lap prompts are played on the Venu3's built-in speaker and not through the Shokz headphones.
I checked the Audio Prompts menu and there is an "Audio Output" option there. In it, I can select Device or Phone as an option. Currently, I have Device selected as I would expect that since the Shokz headphones are directly connected to the Venu, it would play the prompts on them and not use the built-in speaker, but that does not happen.
I have not tried sending the Audio Outputs to my phone yet to see if that will work around the problem, but that is not the point. The point is that when I have headphones connected to the watch all audio should be sent to the headphones and the built-in speaker should not be used.
As a side note, sounds from the Venu do get played on my Shokz headphones so it is not just saying that the headphones are connected, but they are connected for real. For example, I can play music from my Venu and it plays on the Shokz, even while they are connected also to the iPhone. It is just the Audio Prompts that do not seem to be sent to the headphones but played using the built-in speaker
