Sleep tracking so inaccurate!

I bought the Venu 3s in December, I upgraded from a really ancient Fitbit. The Fitbit was so much better at tracking my sleep! I like the other features I get with the Venu but I’m so disappointed with how much I’ve paid out for something that tells me I’ve been in deep sleep when I know for a fact I was wide awake as I couldn’t get to sleep!

Does anyone think the sleep tracking will improve with updates or should I cut my losses and go back to Fitbit?

  • It works quite well for me (Venu 3 standard) much better than the Samsung Galaxy 5 Pro I was using before, anyway if for you this is so crucial function do not expect a relevant update in such respect, a part from relevant bug fixes Garmin is not pushing big updates on the Venu series.

  • The more important question is why is your sleep tracking the way it is. please contact Garmin Support for assistance. With your permission they can access the date pertinent to figuring out the "Why" and provide the most efficient and detailed assistance

  • Garmin has bad sleep tracking, you're not the only person with same problem. You can see on this forum and other Garmin watches forums that many people asked the same question, but no solution was provided.

You can try with Garmin support but do not have high expectations.

  • Yeah, thanks, I don’t think I’ll bother with support. I’m just really annoyed that I’ve retired a 10 year old Fitbit (with very good sleep tracking) and spent a good chunk of money on a Garmin that can’t even work out when I’m awake never mind what sleep stage I’m in when I do nod off.
