After 9.24 update, third party watch faces don't return to AOD display after notification, they go blank

I forgot to say that indeed I found one watch face that goes blank. Others just stayed fully active with bright screen and second-hand moving constantly indefinitely. BTW I also have Gesture = Off, Always On = On).

Cannot use any of the 3rd party watch faces! 

Btw, not sure but I think my Venu 3 had this issue before 9.24. I got an software update today, and see that it is 9.24, so I assume I had the same issue with the previous version (9.23?)

Thank you for sharing this. Your report seems to be slightly different from the actual post. Your watch did not go completely blank. The screen remained on the entire time, I did notice it dim down. But this is normal with the Always on setting. 

BippityBoppity We highly suggest reaching out to the developer of the apps that appear to be causing this disruption. Contact developer option can be found on the Connect IQ store once you have the app open on your smartphone/computer.

Not sure if you reference my video (https://youtube.com/shorts/K6IPrK43hqY)? But the screen after notification stays brighter than it should AND second hand is moving which means it is refreshing every second, instead of every minute like it should. 

The screen should go dim and the second hand should not be moving. Basically right now it is NOT going to always-on screen after notification. It stays in active screen.

On some watch faces it seems to go totally blank for me, like this post says. Are they the same issue? Meaning, is there a common cause in the firmware? That would be my guess..

Hi, good night Garmin-Inder. I'm a developer of a watch face and I have an user reporting this issue. However I don't have a Venu 3 to test and the problem doesn't happen on my unit (Venu 2). Also, it's worth to mention that the problem began exactly after this 9.24 update, and since we as developers don't have control of when the functions onUpdate, onEnterSleep or onExitSleep are ran, I strongly believe this issue is at the watch firmware and not on watch face code.

Also, I'd like to suggest Garmin took bug reports more seriously instead of this typical "it's not our problem" without even analysing, and that you answer my 4 month old bug report getStressHistory crashing - Connect IQ Bug Reports - Connect IQ - Garmin Forums.

I am also a developer and have a user reporting the same problem.  Venu 3, after software update 9.24.

I am the user trudelta is referring to. Yes, exactly the same issue as reported from 8838280. After a notification pop up the watch face turns black even though "always on" is enabled. I tested with several third party watch faces - not only by developer trudelta. Seems to be an issue from garmin's side. I tried everything in my possibility, from turning the watch on and off to uninstalling and reinstalling several watch faces. Please look into this matter. It must be a programming bug by garmin since it is not limited to either a single watch face nor a single third party developer.

As is, I now have a watch that can perfectly count my steps, tell me how well I slept, remind me of staying fit and so on - but it's not that good in showing the time of day. I think this is quite ironic and do expect from garmin to fix this issue asap. I mean, after all, you still sell a watch, right ;-)?
