Weather app

What are the data fields in the first screen of the weather app?

Specifically the two digits in the centre on the bottom row. They don't seem to correspond to any actual weather in my location. (The 1 over -2 8n this image).

  • Any updates on that? I'm having the exactly same problem: Min/Max is correct, but the current is really wrong, seems it is pulling from a different location than getting for Min/Max (Vivoactive 5 here)

  • I just looked at that same app on my Venu 3.  Yes, the current temperature is below the min/max, but the current temp is correct on mine.  So it's just a "feature" of the weather data service IMO.

  • It is being super frustrating for me. I’m in middle of summer in Portugal, it is mid-day at this moment.

    - I don’t have any other weather app installed in my phone (iPhone 13)

    - The phone weather app shows 29 degrees C.

    - Garmin Widget current temperature shows 18 degrees C.

    - If I scroll down the Garmin widget app I can see that the temperature will be 34 for the next hour - and as you might guess, in the next 1 hour will not be showing even close to 34

It is a discrepancy between the current temperature values and the forecast for the next hours/days.

Tried as well the GPS sync directly from the Vivoactive 5 as well, but even after a success GPS sync, the weather temperature keeps with the really wrong values.

  • Hi 8057999

did you aquire your GPS position once you arrived at the new location (e.g. starting an acticity tat uses also GPS)?

my experiance is that this is needed every time you change your place to update the weather to the new lenvironment.

  • Hi . Since I got this new watch I never moved/traveled from the town I live in - in other words I'm always at the same region since than. And I never got the weather correct from the Garmin Widget app. Doing GPS synchronization every day, And since day 1 until now never got the Current Weather temperature correct. It is quite different in the morning, can be 15 degrees wrong. But if I scroll to the forecast they are fairly correct. I don't know what more to do.

  • I'm guessing it must have to do with the local info that the Garmin weather service is getting.  As I had mentioned, mine can be in the situation where the current temperature is lower than the forecast minimum or higher than the forecast maximum, but I think that's just because the forecast isn't updated as frequently as the current temperature.  Also, someone else mentioned GPS - when I have traveled, the watch knows about where it is because of the phone, so it gets the correct data from the phone.

Currently, my watch is showing 70/88 with current of 73°F.  And the Google weather widget on my phone shows 74°F
