What are the data fields in the first screen of the weather app?
Specifically the two digits in the centre on the bottom row. They don't seem to correspond to any actual weather in my location. (The 1 over -2 8n this image).

To my understanding this is max/min for the day, but it's kind of awkward that the daily max is 1 degree and the current temp is 5 degrees :-) For me it's in between, at least at this very moment ;-)
The 1/-2 is the High and Low temperature for the day. This data is being pulled from the local weather station so it may be different from what you see on your phone.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your local Garmin Support team.
thank you. That's what I assumed it was. However it has never been accurate (I've only had the watch 2 weeks) and does not represent the weather anywhere near me (ie anywhere in southern England) . I wonder if the settings are somehow looking at the weather in the wrong place?
In that case, you'll want to try these tips: Weather Widget Displays Wrong Information on My Garmin Device
I'll take this opportunity to say it again. Why not put the weather location in the weather app? I see the updated app has the air quality on two different screens, please sacrifice one of those to display the location. A weather app should always show the location it's reporting for.
That's a great suggestion! Be sure to submit it by using our Ideas Portal.
While it's certainly a great suggestion, I am always puzzled about such differences between different Garmin watches. This information is available out of the box in Forerunners: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-255-series/349935/weather-glance-query
And yes, the Forerunner user was also confused about max/min display and the current temperature was also higher than the max :-)
I already have. I can do it again if it'll help.
Yes. The FR 265 has almost identical weather app, but it includes the weather location.
