I saw the previous posts but my watch has the current version. Are others experiencing the same issue with rapid batter drain after 40% with a VENU 2 V19.05.

I have the exact same problem. It also sometimes turns off during activity.
yes same behaviour, also turning off during activitiy :-(
I have the same issue, my watch has a battery life of about 24 hours since the last update from a few days ago. I've also noticed that the graphs showing stress are full of gaps, much larger than before.
Hi :-) I had a similar behaviour. Battery was dying when the device was around 20% (also often during activities) and total battery life was about 24 hours. In my case it was just the battery itself. I've changed the battery and now everything works again. perfectly
Hello
Did you change the battery yourself?
I found some video on youtube, that looks quit difficult.
yes. if you do it the first time it is a bit challenging, since the devices are not made to change the battery. if you know what to do it takes you 10 minutes. the first time maybe 2h.
Same for me at around 30% with the Venu 2S. One moment it's fine, the next I suddenly get a warning to enable battery saver mode because battery is suddenly super low.
I completely understand the frustration here. It's genuinely disappointing that such a premium device develops these battery issues, and even more so that Garmin doesn't offer any official battery replacement service. For a watch at this price point, you'd expect better support options rather than being told to essentially dispose of it when the battery degrades.
Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, the reality is that Garmin devices aren't designed for easy battery replacement, leaving us with limited options. The official route basically means the watch becomes e-waste, which is frustrating both financially and environmentally.
As written above, the DIY battery replacement route with parts from AliExpress or similar suppliers does work. Yes, it's challenging the first time—expect to spend a couple of hours being very careful—but it's doable if you're patient and follow a good YouTube tutorial. Just make sure you have the right tools (spudgers, tweezers, patience!) and accept that you're voiding any warranty and taking on some risk.
It's not ideal that we're forced into this situation with an expensive product, but at least it's a way to extend the life of the device rather than throwing it away. Garmin really should do better here.
