High Battery Drain on Version 19.05

Took my Venu 2 off charge (100%) at 20:00 last night and this morning at 07:00 it is already 84%.

What is draining the battery so much during the night when I'm asleep?

  • Here's the problem. GARMIN, you must fix that ASAP. If not, you will lose a lot of people from buying your product in the future, seriously.


  • I also tried everything but nothing works. But I don't have the same behavior as you. Mine goes from 35% to 0% in a few seconds.

  • NOTE: Some of your standard advice like factory reset, restart, remove from the Garmin app, and forget the Bluetooth device DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.
    I'm so tired of all that sh**. Normally people buy watches to use them without any issues. But Garmin's users should always be in the forum and writing the problem with their watch and see how Garmin tech support, released the SW Updates ignore that...
  • Sometimes it goes from 40, sometimes from 70. Doesn't matter. Venu2 now is an unusable watch! It just takes ~3 days till they turn off (without any activities, always on and pulse Ox).

  • Did you contact the support ? I contacted french support and the answer is ... no comment : => The guy says : "Although the watch is no longer under warranty, our engineering teams are actively working on a corrective update that could permanently resolve this issue. This update should be available soon and could be the solution you are waiting for." I replied that the firmware was released 8 months ago. That it is planned obsolescence... And I have to pay 150€ to a standard exchange.

  • Yes. They asked to do a Hard Reset and if it won't help I should contact my local Garmin support. Will see

  • Today I did 5 times Reset All Data and Settings - didn't help. GARMIN please tell us, are you fixing the buggy 19.05 or not? If not, I will buy another brand.
