I first assumed it was a ‘no battery’ indicator, but this was after a night of charging, so I don’t think that is the issue.

Press and hold the power button until the device powers off (hold up to 30 seconds). Release the power button. If the power/data cable does not power the device back on automatically, unplug from the power source and plug back in or press the power button.
