I bought a Garmin Venue 2 last week as a gift, and the optical sensor won't turn on, so the Garmin isn't taking any measurements. Anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?

Hello, Have you tried a hard reset? You'll want to press and hold the power button for 30-seconds or until the display is blank. Then use the same button to power it back on.
