Auto pause not working anymore

While running I much appreciated the 'auto pause' function, I have set it to activate when I stop running, it used to automatically pause after a couple of seconds en get active again just after continuing running.

After the firmware update it takes about 30 to sometimes 50seconds to activate or deactivate the auto pause function which is ridiculous, standing still watching the data i see the pace slowly changing this was changing a lot faster before.

I am on beta firmware, did a full factory reset without changes.

A bike ride with auto pause is working like it should.

Anyone else noticing this?

Same, 11.16 worked for about 24h but then it started failing again with auto pause and running start lag. I gave up and accepted the update to 12.13.

Will I ever rely on Garmin again?

I haven't had this experience. I've been running 11.16 for the last few days and the AutoPause is working just fine. They've tried to force an update to 12.13 but I've managed to decline it and delete it from the watch before it updates.

Is there a new beta version coming soon with a fix, shouldn't be that hard to fix this. It was working before

Its been 2 months now where I've basically had an expensive watch which doesn't work as intended. When can we expect an update?

It's not addressed in the posted change log:

Fixes a bug where the screen wouldn't turn on for Hydration notifications

Maybe they didn't see it as significant enough to address. Only way to find out is to try, I suppose. I'm not certain that I want to join the new beta software testing group though. It's done over the air now, and if you leave the program, you're stuck with the beta - and any issue - until the final version is released. From the beta software program agreement:

"If you leave the beta software program, the beta software will remain on your device until the final version of the software becomes available. Once the software is updated, you will no longer receive beta software."

All,

We've released a new beta software addressing this disruption. To install this software, enroll in the Beta software program (HERE), sync the watch, then go to Menu > System > Software Update > Check for Updates.

If you prefer not to enroll in Beta, feel free to wait until our Live software release is rolled out.

You are talking about beta 13.09? Release notes didn't contain information about this bug.

Not sure about that, I'm signed up for the beta, I followed the instructions and did find an update that I installed. After checking my version I'm on...12.13 !

I followed the process again and this time there's no update waiting for me.
