Garmin Venu 2 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

My Venu 2 continues to keep disconnecting and asking to reconnect, despite me reading every forum post and trying every fix.

The fixes are either not relevant to my phone model or do not work. This is highly frustrating and is costing me rewards points since my activities are not being logged properly.

This has spoiled my experience with my new watch to the point where I may not buy a Garmin again.

Why has Garmin not found a solution for this? Why do I have to try to fiddle with my phone a hundred different ways when there are clearly many users with the same issue? Why is there not a Garmin Connect update released that can resolve this for all of us?

  • Hi,

I had this problem with my Pixel 7, too, and for a couple of weeks - really annyoing. I had a long talk yesterday with Garmin support (after waiting in line for 1:20 hours :-( , but if you get through, the support is pretty good), and managed to fix it (so far) with rather standard things:

    • Did a soft reset (keep holding upper button until watch restarts)
    • Removed the watch from Garmin Connect on my Pixel 7 (Devices -> long-click Venu 2 -> Delete (or Remove? I'm German), then readded it. Went through the whole setup process again. Now it's connected via bluetooth to my Pixel 7, and so far no problems.

    Maybe that helps somebody...

    Best
    Christian
