Venu 2S Stuck after 5.33 Software Update

Hello.

During last night my Venu 2S got the update 5.33 (I'm in Spain)

When I woke up I noticed that the watch was stuck at 2 am (I guess right after the update) with no heart monitoring, no steps, no sleep tracking...

After restarting it, the watch still have the same issues and don't work. Doing a full reset and erasing all data to start "like new" don't work either.

How can I go back to firmware 5.27? (now I have a watch that don't do nothing)

Regards,

  • Hello, what about the update, what version of the sensor you have on the Venu 2.

    Thanks for the feedback.

  • All-

If you are still experiencing any issues with the most recent software update installation, please sync the watch with Garmin Express then power cycle your watch.  You could also (on your watch) go to Menu > Settings > System > Software Update.

  • Dear

Still don't work. Watch have 5.33 with the sensors at 0.00.  Reset It don't help. Are you planning a 5.34 version?, When?, How could you expect to solve this situation? We need a urgent fix. Tomorrow my watch will go directly to the shop for replace or return.

    Regards,

  • garmin told me they don't even about the problem. I said how could you not

  • PLEASE CALL CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT LAST UPGRADE

  • I did. And the response was "send me the watch for replace". It's a bit sad that these things happen, really. It is what it is.

  • No problem here. Updated via WiFi directly from the watch and all seems to be working fine. It is a very strange thing though that some units need to be replaced.

  • Whenever I run into anything odd after a FW update, the very first thing I do is a reboot - in this case, hold the upper button for 20-30 seconds and the watch turns itself off - then turn it back on.  It resolves many issues, and not a full reset, so you don't have to set anything up again.

If the watch won't boot, I turn it off and plug it in while holding the power button and release the power button a bit later, and it will usually boot fine after that.

  • We flat out lost all sensors for a good 24 hours. They wanted me to send my watch back, but the update fixed it and I have my HR and steps and such back. Reboots were not working along with everything the help desk was suggesting to do. I almost sent my watch back based on them telling me I needed to. Oh and it would have been a "one-time courtesy" even though my watch is just a few months old and under warranty.

  • I tried these steps, software version 5.33 but sensor version is not 0.00. That didn't solve it, also tried resetting, checking for updates, restarting phone etc. Now what? It's a brand new device. I'm very disappointed. For me it seems to be only gps that is not working.
