battery problems with update 4.67

Hello everyone and sorry for the perhaps incorrect English ...
I updated a few days ago to the latest firmware of my Venu2s and I noticed a sharp drop in autonomy in daily use, especially during night rest.
My settings are:
AOD off
PulseOX only at night
Bluetooth turned on on Venu
Wifi turned off
Motion notifications on
Cardio always ON
Medium vibration
Automatic brightness on minimum level

I make moderate use of the watch that with the previous firmware took me to an autonomy of 7 days with these settings. Now I make almost 4 ...
Will I have to get used to it?
I noticed a big improvement in the fluidity of the touch, maybe this is the aspect that concerns the greater decrease of the battery?

  • I have similar settings to yours but also have AOD on. My battery life with 4.67 seems to be the same as before.

  • I feel my battery is also draining when compared to previous firmware and yesterday night had 37% and un the morning the screen went black and won't react to touch/buttons. Plugged to charge cable/pc and lighted up started charge and said it had 30% !

Maybe been lucky until now as haven't noticed that much issues on mine, but definitely this version of 4.67 is pretty buggy and a shame to be released under such conditions.

  • That is unfortunate Disappointed. I guess I am just lucky, the only bugs I have experienced are the 030 error with wifi and the glances rearranging (which was there before 4.67).

  • Now I'm trying to turn off the Venu's bluetooth, by doing so it seems to consume as before the update. But it bothers me to have to press the physical button to turn it on to sync with the phone.

  • I have the same problem. After updating, battery life is dropping fast. I hope this will be fixed soon because the battery life was one of the biggest reasons I purchased my Venu 2 only 3 weeks ago.

  • I've posted one or two days a ago a related topic. My settings diverse in the AOD and vibration settings but the battery life is indeed a shame so far, specially compared to my previous Venu.

  • After updating to 4.67 and then charging my Venu 2S to 100% it dropped much quicker overnight than it used to. It dropped by about 10% when it used to be 2 or 3% max overnight (without pulse ox on). I’ve done a forced reset (holding the top button in) and that appears to have sorted it. For some reason my activity tracking had been turned off so I had to switch that back on again. Touch an scroll on the screen does seem to be smoother now. Not sure if I needed the extra brightness settings but they are there if I do. Hopefully that’s the random pulse ox activation fixed as well. I forgot to mention that when I did the forced restart, when it turned back on again it started with software download symbol briefly as if it still had a bit to do with the 4.67 update. Not sure if that’s the case but that’s what it looked like.

  • I’m sorry to hear of the battery drain issues that you’re experiencing.  Let’s start by power cycling (turning off and then back on) your watch.  If the battery drain persists and if you have any Connect IQ (CIQ) Content, especially watch faces, you may need to delete that content until the independent developer is able to update their app/watch face to function correctly (without causing a battery drain) with the new firmware version on your watch.  You can use any of the 3 FAQs below to uninstall the CIQ content.

How to Uninstall Connect IQ App Content Using the Connect IQ App

If you would like to submit feedback to the developer of the CIQ content, you can do so by clicking the link below and searching for the download page of the CIQ content.  In the bottom right corner of that page, you will find the option to contact the developer.

  • Hello Kevin.

    Thanks for replying.

Since the update I've been running with the stock watchface and, so far, it hasn't improved the battery life experience.

My watch is averaging 2,5~3%/hour althought in an activity the battery seems to consume as expected, compared to my original Venu.  One other thing that I've noticed is the drain while im completelly idle state (6% without it being in my wrist the whole night - about 6 hours). If I manually turn off the bluetooth connection it does half that idle usage (the phone gets its bluetooth connection disabled every night, so the watch is really consuming it on its own).

Also worth highlighting that I've factory resetted the watch (to fix my hydration widged but) and soft resetted it (hold the power button for a long time) which did not improve the battery comsumption.

  • I have continuous problems with the battery, I charged it yesterday after almost five days of autonomy (I did seven with the 3.48). The Venu settings are the ones I wrote at the beginning of the thread. The discharge is uneven, from the evening (around 22.00) it is at 100% and the next morning (around 06.30) it has dropped to 85% with SPO2 on. Before the update the discharge was 92% ...
As I said I uploaded it yesterday and today I'm at 50% without having done anything ...
Is there a way to go back to version 3.48?
