FEATURE REQUEST: "Resume Later"

Hi Garmin team!

Can you please implement the "Resume Later" functionality in the VENU 2.

It is currently not possible to pause an activity for a longer break, very liklely to happen during hikes or full day bike trips.

This feature is currently only available on Garmin's higher end watches, but I doubt that pro athletes will stop for a one hour lunch break and enjoy the view during their triathlon training.... but the more casual VENU 2 user might ;)

Would be great to get some feedback form Garmin folks here please.

Wouldn´t it make more sense to let each user decide how they want to track their activities?

Instead of increasing the pause duration in the new BETA firmware, Garmin should just let each user decide...

Thank you for this request! I'm so dissapointed Venu 2 doesn't have an activity resuming option. If I knew, I wouldn't buy it. It's necessary for such activities as bike touring. If Fenix and Forerunner do have it, why Venu 2 does not? Hey, it's not any advanced option. I hope it's just a shortcoming

I'm afraid that this was intended to be this way. Hopefully, submissions would change the situation. As I was told by support that they review submissions and if some get enough votes they are considered for implementation.

Fully agree. For those more casual hikes with breaks this feature would improve the watch.

After 2-3 software updates, this is still more or less the same unsatisfying situation.

Increasing the pause time to 30 minutes is just no real solution to this.

It is very disappointing, that Garmin developers are not willing to make this possible!

If there would be at least an official statement, that explains their decision....

I don't use Venu2 for sport tracking (I've got Suunto watch for this purpose), but from my point of view it's basic functionality so I totally understand people don't even think premium brand watch (and not so cheap) lacks this "feature"....

That's not the requested feature, though. On a Venu 2, you _can_ pause an activity and resume it, but after 20 minutes the watch ends and autosaves that activity. "Resume Later" is an entirely different feature.
