Raise to wake but without the fade in?

The raise to wake feature works well. What makes it seem like it takes an excessive amount of time is the fade in.

Is it possible to add a choice so it can either fade in/out or just do on/off?

I'm a bit surprised by the official pessimistic response from Garmin on this. The development work required for this feature is trivial (a menu option and an if block) but it has a significant usability…

I think so....mine seems slower on the new update!

It's a shame Garmin won't remove the fade in, even as an option.

It's a relatively simple change...so making the change shouldn't be an issue…

Update: Just decided to return my watch, partially because of this and partially because of issues with bluetooth/syncing. Unfortunate.

Hi there

I returned the Venu 2 and buy a HW3 Active for the same price.

I prefer to deal with an awful app than with Garmin policy.

I think is called crystal, in the description it says that "Raise to show hours fast then it shows other details"

I recently updated from Venu to Venu 2 and the first thing i tried to find in settings was to disable the fade in option. But it's not there. I too don't like it. I'd prefer it to be instant.

So why aren't you doing it Garmin?

It only takes a few seconds to say why it isn't being implemented or why it can't.

Stay quiet, ignoring your customers....extremely poor customer service.

Come on Garmin up your game!

I don't think it's a show stopper...so I wouldn't return my Venu 2 for it.

Jumping in here: Just bought a Venu 2 and the fade-in time is awful. Its serves no purpose other than to delay and make the watch slower.

I'm now used to it and even like it. Wouldn't return this great watch just because of the fade in which is quite a nice feature once you get used to it.
