Watch Band Lugs

Hello,

If anyone from Garmin reads this, please offer some of your 22mm lugs to your Venu 2 customers at a discount (free is OK too). The Venu 2 requires lugs that are longer than standard 22mm lugs and makes it impossible to use most third-party watch bands.

If this is a production mistake, please make it right. If this is intentional, it's reason to stop buying Garmin watches. You've put us in a position where our only selection of bands is a few over-priced choices direct from Garmin. I can no longer select from the hundreds of less expensive bands available to me. This was not an issue with the original Venu so I assume it's a quality assurance problem, and not planned that way.

Thanks for reading this

  • So. Much. This.

     Thank you.

  • I read that it’s not the distance between the lugs but that the holes are a tiny bit deeper which causes some bands to not work.  I’m happy to say with Venu 2S, so far I’ve had no problems buying 3rd party bands that fit.

  • I called Garmin Support about this and they shipped me some of their 22mm lugs, which work fine on my Venu 2. I neglected to follow up here. Thank you Garmin for sending me lugs that work.

  • How were you able to get them to send you some 22mm lugs? I just talked to support and they told me they only sell the lugs with their bands and have to buy a Garmin band.

  • I asked the support rep I spoke with if I could purchase lugs because I didn't want the Garmin bands. He offered to send them to me so I accepted. I suggest calling back to see if you get a different response.

  • What makes this sizing issue even more annoying is that I have a skin reaction to the waterproof band supplied with my Venu 2. I have to leave it off after using it during my swimming exercises. This is despite the fact that I wash it with Johnson's baby shampoo, thoroughly rinse and dry it almost daily if I plan on wearing it, not just after swimming and I still have a reaction.

I am not in a position to shell out almost 20% of the purchase price just to make the watch fit for purpose. I find this to be poor customer service from a leading brand.
