How Do I Delete A Watch Face?

It looks like a recent update to Connect IQ removed the Delete button, now there's only a Settings button. My Venu 2 Plus doesn't have a Delete button on the watch either (like my Venu 3 does). How do I delete third-party watch faces on my Venu 2 Plus? Thanks for any help. 

  • I figured out I can use Garmin Express. I keep forgetting that app exists - seems silly I have to plug my watch into a computer to remove an app. Why would Garmin remove that from the phone app? Sometimes I have to wonder who makes these decisions...Rolling eyes

  • You can remove Connect IQ content using the Connect IQ app: Connect IQ Store App: How to Uninstall App Content

    1. Open the Connect IQTm Store app.

    2. Select My Device (bottom right).

      • If you need to change devices, select   (top right) and select the correct Garmin device.

    3. Installed Connect IQ Content will be found under these categories: (If you are missing a category then it is not supported on your device).

      • My Watch Faces - Here you will find your installed Face It® watch faces and Connect IQ watch faces.

      • My Device Apps - Here you will find your installed Widget Glances or Activity Profiles.

      • My Data Fields - Here you will find your installed Activity Data Fields.

      • My Music - Here you will find your installed Music Apps.

    4. Select the app you wish to remove.

    5. Select Uninstall.

    6. Sync your device.

    The Connect IQ app content will be removed from your device after your next successful sync.

    1. Open the Garmin ConnectTm App.

    2. Select More (bottom right).

    3. Select Garmin Devices.

    4. Select your watch.

    5. Connect IQ content will be found under one of these options:

      • Activities & App Management - Here you will find Activities & Apps or Data Fields.

      • Activities, Apps, & More - Here you will find Activities & Apps or Data Fields.

      • Appearance - Here you will find Watch Faces and Widgets.

      • Music - Here you will find Music apps. This option is only available for compatible Garmin music watches.

    6. Select the application you want to uninstall.

    7. Select Uninstall.

    8. Sync the device.

    The app will be removed from the device once the sync is complete. 

  • Yes, thanks, I know all of this now. My question is why? I used to remove apps from my phone or the watch. Now I need a computer and cable to remove a watch face! Kinda ridiculous to remove that feature.

  • You can drag and drop a photo into the message window or search for the file on your computer (Insert, Image/Video/File, click "Upload," browse for file, OK)

    Or use a file sharing service, make the file public, then share the link in your reply.

    Your link is ending up with a 404 error

  • Thanks. I tried dragging the file to the window and got a message telling me the file couldn't be uploaded. And I've used Google Photos to share pics many times, I don't know why it wont work here. It also seems a bit silly that I have to share a screen shot of the Connect IQ app. Shrug

  • Do you see a 3 dot icon in the upper right on the selected app (in the connect iq app) ? if so, click this and you should see Delete.
