Skin rash

I have contacted Garmin customer service and they are awful / don't know their own products. 

I'm sorry you had a negative experience. I've had nothing but positive interactions with support. The typical response here is to contact support for any type of skin issue.

It is not the sensor or the cover material that causes the rash, it is the bacteria that builds on the surface if you do not clean the watch regularly, and if you always keep the watch on the same hand. Rinsing it daily, and after each workout, disinfecting with 90% medical alcohol once or twice a week, (and washing the wrist under the watch regularly, of course, too), and alternating the wrists for the night, is usually sufficient for most people.

Wrong. I clean my watch everyday, I have had 2 phone calls with reps about proper care for a watch. It's a literal burning sensation only under the sensor. Soooo nope. If you search rash from sensor, you will see what I mean. 

For those who get this type of rash switching to glass back has fixed the problem. 

Garmin has now "locked" this question, with these replies from account that clearly work for Garmin. (you can see them answer first on every skin rash post and say the same thing). It's fishy and has been happened to ever Skin issue or Rash post. This makes me trust Garmin less.
