When making or receiving calls on venu 2 plus, the call rerouts to iphone

When I have a call from the watch and while talking the calls ends on watch screen but the call is still actve on phone. It's like losing conectivity. Generally no bluetooth connectivity problems except while on call. I have tried everything (restarting devices, reconnection, unpairing/pairing, updating) but the issue is still there. I bought the watch 2 days ago and I' m extremely unhappy because calls are the main reason I bought it. My phone is iphone X.

I have a Samsung phone and calls are not good. Very bad ringtone - kind of tinny and very quiet and often grunts. The watch is fine, but the calls are not...

Seeing the same thing. Generally within about 5 seconds. Enough time to exchange greetings then the call is switched.

Yesterday and the day before I replied to 3 calls and they were all successful. One of them lasted 1:30 minutes. That’s a small win!! Let’s hope it’s fixed!

Problem solved after upgrading my phone from iPhone X (2017) to iPhone 14 pro (2022). Probably the X’s Bluetooth technology is a bit old and it caused connection issues. Happy that the watch is not defective.

I have an iPhone 13. Even if I'm not wearing the Venu 2 Plus, and I'm taking a call on speaker on the iPhone, the call keeps switching off speaker to the Venu. Beyond annoying. I finally "forgot" the Venu on my iPhone. Debating whether or not to send it back. I want to like it, but this issue is terrible.

I don't really consider that to be a solution. Calls that I answer on my watch are redirected to the phone (in my pocket) within 3-4 seconds of answering.
I have an iPhone-XR. Bluetooth works for everything else from earplugs to car audio to home stereos. I don't know the technical details of bluetooth, but it seems to me that Garmin should be able to make it work.

Did you ever find a fix for this? Same issue, same phone (apple XR). Renders the phone aspect worthless and has me about to return the wathc..
