Android: "No Phone Connection" message displayed on watch despite being paired and connected via Bluetooth

My watch Garmin Venu 2 Plus works great, BUT!

Although the watch is connected (paired) to the phone via bluetooth, it says it is not connected.

For example, synchronization is working, all activities are updated, Im getting notifications and synch with phone is OK. From phone I can send new setting or apps.. etc.. to watch.

BUT I cant use calling or Google assistant. Every time when I invoke this command, watch says: no phone connection...

Can you please help me, what to do? Thank you

    Note: Removing device from Garmin Connect App then pairing it again fixes connection issue temporarily.

  • Same problem with mine. It worked for weeks until this week. Now I can't invoke the voice assistant nor initiate a phone call from the phone button in the watch. All other watch/phone connectivity works.
